Toyota Recall worldwide

Toyota announced it will call for voluntary safety review, involving 283.200 Toyota and 137 000 Lexus, by a defect in the steering system, which may not work suddenly.

According to Toyota's own explanation, the problem affects models with V6 engines in the power steering pulley band could become entangled with the pulley, out of the mechanism and cause the vehicle to lose steering ability. So far there are no reported accidents or injuries due to this problem.
